TED Kocaeli Koleji 6. Sınıf Öğrencileri, Fen Bilimleri dersi kapsamında oldukça yoğun kazanımları olan “Vücudumuzdaki Sistemler” ünitesini tüm ayrıntıları ile öğrendiler. Sistemlerle ilgili teorik bilgi sonrası öğrenciler, büyükbaş hayvanlara ait kalp, akciğer, böbrek gibi organları yakından inceleme fırsatı yakaladılar. Teorik çalışmaların uygulamalarla desteklendiği TED Kocaeli Kolejinde, yaparak, yaşayarak öğrenmenin fen bilimleri derslerindeki kazanımların kavranmasındaki önemine inanan ve öğrencilerimizin organ inceleme konusundaki heyecanını gören öğretmenler, gösteri deneyi olarak değil, küçük gruplar halinde öğrencilerin organları inceleme ve kesmesine olanak tanıdı. Tıpkı bir doktor gibi titiz çalışan öğrenciler, organların anatomik yapılarını yakından görerek, yapı-görev arasındaki ilişkiyi çok daha iyi kurabildiler. Deney sonrası öğrencilerden bazıları ileride doktor olmak istediklerini dile getirdiler.
