TED Kocaeli Koleji öğrencileri, kütüphanesi olmayan devlet okullarına kitap bağışı toplayıp kütüphane kurmayı amaç edinen “Okuma Sanatı Kulübü” bünyesinde başlatılan kitap kampanyasına katıldı.

Tülay Yanıkoğlu Yazıcı’nın önderliğinde 6 Nisan 2017’de kurulan “Okuma Sanatı Kulübü” kulüp çalışmalarının yanında, kitabı olmayan çocukları daha çok kitap ile buluşturmayı amaçlayan bir kitap toplama kampanyası başlattı. “Kocaeli’de Kütüphanesiz Okul Kalmasın“ sloganı ile başlatılan projeye TED Kocaeli Koleji öğrencileri de dahil oldu.

Proje kapsamında kütüphanesi olmayan devlet okullarına kitap bağışı toplanarak kütüphaneler kuruluyor. Bunun için tasarlanmış olan “Kitap Kumbaram” adlı kitap kutularında biriken kitaplar kampanya dahilinde kütüphanesi olmayan okullara kütüphane kurulması amacıyla kullanılacaktır. Oluşturulan kütüphaneler ile çocuklara kitap okuma sevgisi aşılamak, okuyan, anlayan, sorgulayan ve öğrenen bireyler yetişmesine destek olmak hedeflenmektedir.
