TED Kocaeli Koleji 6. sınıf öğrencileri, Matematik dersi “Ondalık gösterimleri verilen sayılarla çarpma işlemi yapar. ” ve “Ondalık gösterimleri verilen sayılarla bölme işlemi yapar.” kazanımları doğrultusunda bir proje çalışması yürüttüler.
Çalışmada, bilim insanı olarak hareket eden öğrencilerimiz fen bilimleri dersinde işledikleri “Güneş Sistemi ve Ötesi” ünitesinde öğrendikleri gezegenler ile ondalık sayılar bilgilerini ilişkilendirdiler. Araştırmalarını yaparken basılı kaynaklar ile online kaynaklardan yararlandılar. Projenin sonuç aşamasında geliştirdikleri gezegenleri Canva programı ve geri dönüşüm malzemeleri ile somut olarak tasarlayıp sergilediler. Sergi sonrası Kocaeli Bilim Merkezine gezi düzenlenerek araştırdıkları gezegenleri somut olarak görüp araştırmaları ve elde ettikleri bilgilerin doğruluğunu fark etti.
