TED KOCAELİ ÖZEL ORTAOKULUNDA 6. SINIFLARIN ‘FRANKENSTEIN’ HİKÂYE ÇALIŞMALARI ÜZERİNE MÜNAZARA

TED Kocaeli Özel Ortaokulu 6. Sınıf öğrencileri Skills (Beceri Geliştirme) dersinde işlemiş oldukları “FRANKENSTEIN” adlı hikâyeye ait olay örgüsünü ve karakterleri temel alan bir münazara yaptılar.

Okulumuzun 6.sınıf öğrencileri Skills (Beceri Geliştirme) dersinde işlemiş oldukları “FRANKENSTEIN” adlı hikâyedeki iki temel karakterin özellikleri doğrultusunda bir tartışma yürüttüler. Takımlardan biri Dr. Frankenstein’ın bakış açısından, diğeri ise doktor tarafından yaratılan Yaratık’ın (Creature) bakış açısından olayları tartıştılar. Olay örgüsü içinde karakterlerin davranış biçimleri ve özellikleri ile ilgili karşıt görüşler taşıyan iki takım, jüri üyelerinin önünde kendi fikirlerini savundular. Münazaraya takımların dışındaki 6. Sınıf öğrencileri de sorularıyla katkıda bulundular. Her iki takım da savundukları düşünceyi kanıtlamaya çalıştılar ve bu tartışmayı “Creature” tarafını temsil eden, 6A ve 6D sınıflarından oluşan takım kazandı.

 

Münazara etkinliği, öğrencilerimizin İngilizce konuşma yeteneklerini ve yorum becerilerini geliştirmeye katkıda bulunurken aynı zamanda öğrencilerimize farklı bakış açıları ve kendi fikirlerini savunma yetisi kazandırmaya yardımcı oldu.

Münazarayı izleyen Kurucu Temsilcisi Nilgün Çelebi, “Çeşitli okullardan okulumuza gelen ve sadece 1,5 yıldır TED Kocaeli Koleji’nde okumakta olan öğrencilerimizle gurur duydum. Benim de 6. Sınıftayken böyleydi İngilizcem ama ben ilkokul 1’den itibaren TED Ankara Kolejinde okudum. Bu kadar kısa bir sürede öğrencilerimizi bu seviyeye getiren öğretmenlerimizin başarılarını da candan kutluyorum.” dedi.

Aynı hikâyede yer alan olay örgüsü ve karakter özellikleri, sınıf dışında düzenlenen ‘Running Dictation’ (Dikte Yarışması) aktivitesi ile pekiştirildi.
