Mart ayında Çek Cumhuriyeti’nin başkenti Prag’a yaklaşık 1,5 saatlik mesafede bulunan Karlovy Vary (Carlsbad) şehrinde düzenlenen CIMUN18 konferansında bir sunum gerçekleştiren TED Kocaeli Koleji Özel Anadolu Lisesi MUN (Model United Nations) Kulübü öğrencileri, konferansa ilişkin tecrübelerini aktarmak için 4 Mayıs 2018 tarihinde 7. ve 8. sınıf öğrencilerine sunum yaptılar.

TED Kocaeli Koleji Özel Anadolu Lisesi MUN Kulübü 9. sınıf öğrencilerinden 10 öğrencimiz, 8-11 Mart 2018 tarihleri arasında dünyanın en önemli kaplıca kenti olan Karlovy Vary şehrinde düzenlenen, dünyadaki farklı liselerden dünya vatandaşı olmaya aday öğrencilerin bir araya geldiği Carlsbad International Model United Nations (CIMUN) konferansında farklı delegasyonlarda, beş farklı ülkeyi başarı ile temsil etmişlerdi. Kulüp öğrencileri, 4 Mayıs 2018 tarihinde konferansa ilişkin tecrübelerini aktarmak için TED Kocaeli Koleji Ortaokulu 7. ve 8. sınıf ve TED Kocaeli Koleji Özel Anadolu Lisesi 9. Sınıf öğrencilerine sunum yaptılar.

MUN – Model United Nations, Birleşmiş Milletler toplantılarının içerik ve şekil olarak öğrenciler tarafından canlandırıldığı konferanslardır. Dünyanın dört bir tarafından gelen katılımcı öğrenciler, MUN konferanslarında gerçek dünya meselelerini tartışmaktadır. MUN Konferanslarının sonuç bildirgeleri, tavsiye niteliğinde Birleşmiş Milletlere gönderilmektedir. Tipik bir Birleşmiş Milletler Konferansı şeklinde geçen MUN Konferanslarında öğrenciler, kendileri için belirlenen ülkelerin birer delegesi olarak farklı komitelerde görev alırlar.

‘Globalleşen Dünyada Güvenliği Sağlamak’ (Maintaining Security in a Globalizing World) temalı CIMUN 2018 konferansında okulumuzu başarı ile temsil eden öğrenciler, katıldıkları uluslararası nitelik taşıyan bu etkinliğe ait tecrübelerini aktarırken farklı başlıklar altında paylaşımda bulundular. Bu başlıklar, “Konferans sırasında katılmış oldukları komiteler ve çözüm önergesi süreçleri, Karlovy Vary şehrinin özellikleri, Uluslararası Carlsbad Lisesi (CIS), MUN tecrübesi kazanımları ve gelecek ile ilgili planlamalar” olarak sunuldu. İzleyici olarak katılan öğrenciler hem MUN Kulübü (Model Birleşmiş Milletler Kulübü) çalışmaları ile ilgili hem de yurt dışında, uluslararası bir platformda etkin bir rol almanın kazanımlarına ilişkin bilgiler edinme fırsatı bulundular.
